The occupational health and safety standard, ISO 45001 has now fully replaced the previous British Standard (BS OHSAS 18001) which is no longer valid. All occupational health and safety systems need to be certified to ISO 45001 to be recognised within industry, which has clauses that are more closely aligned with other standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
